Meet the Team is a series of video released by Valve to promote gameplay and show off the classes personality. Not only they promote the game itself, Valve claims that the first Meet the Team video which stars the Heavy class helped them test the facial animation system which allows them to have more expression than in Half-Life series.

Valve uses the Source Filmmaker which was leaked awhile ago, but is outdated to create Meet the Team videos. It manipulates the Source Engine to create illusions of many participiants. It is used to record various of scenes and use Lip Synchronization system to match the actor of the character. It has a wide cinematic effects like Motion Blur and Depth of Field. However, the Replay System is a limited version of this, having the only ability to switch player tracking to a target, set time modifier, free camera, third person, first person, and such.
